Week 6 - Rayleigh Fairview II vs HABCC II (20/05/2017)

2nd XI
Rayleigh Fairview II - 145-All Out (31.5 Overs) - H Bancroft 3-29 (4.5 Overs), J Southam 3-40 (6 Overs).
HABCC II - 147-3 - J Southam 41*, K Bath 30, D Attard 25.

Matchday Report - By Jake Southam
The silver fox (Steve Summerville) opened up the bowling attack and kept it very tight bowling an
excellent spell of 10 overs 1-8. Backed up well by Dan Kelly who took a good
catch off his own bowling. Rayleigh were keeping the scoreboard going but good
fielding and smart bowling they lost wickets at regular intervals and were
bowled out in the 32nd over for 145 with Bancroft and Southam taking 3 wickets
each.

After a good tea in which Bath moaned about having to bowl into the wind the
Havering innings began with Morrison and the only Attard. After a good start
Morrison fell for 17 which brought Kevin Bath out with his best friend Yorkshire
Dave cheering him on from the side. Dane eventually fell for a good 25 and Bath
continued to play sensibly with the occasional big hit and Southam continued to
knock it around playing to the sticky wicket. Bath fell for a good 30, and
F.Riaz and Southam finishing off the game with riaz finishing on 11no and
Southam 41no. Which left bath and Yorkshire Dave talking through Kev's innings
ball by ball.

A first win for the season for the 2s which was a mainly 3rd XI but just shows
that anyone can play good cricket in any side at this club, hopefully more
people make themselves available for next week and we can get 4 games of cricket
this weekend!

Once again a massive thankyou to the dads army for helping me out today much
appreciated.
