Sat 4th XI vs Hutton - 18th July

Havering-Atte-Bower 4th XI put up a valiant effort but Hutton proved to have the better bowling attack. Havering were left short of bowlers as various bowlers pulled out the week before the game and to be fair the 4ths did well to eventually get a team out to fulfil this fixture.

Hutton won the toss and put Havering into bat. After a solid 1st wicket stand of 42 Havering collapsed to 83-8 but after a 50 run plus partnership by Les Walker (14*) and Jack Gale (60) Havering amassed a competitive total of 146. Jack Gibbs took 2 wickets on his debut ( 8 overs 2 wickets for 15 runs) and Reece Beechey also kept it tight by taking 1 wicket. Hutton proved to be the eventual winners but Havering put up a strong fight.

Sat 4th XI vs Redbridge Park - 11th July

Havering-Atte-Bower 4th XI were comprehensively beaten this time around by Redbridge Park. Redbridge won the toss and elected to bat first, which seemed to mystify everyone at Hall Lane but it was proved to be the correct decision as they ran out winners by 95 runs. Decent figures from William Waine, Michael Roe and Mick Houghton were all in vain as Haverings batting display was simply shocking. Only William Waine (batting at 8) reached double figures (16) as the game was all over by drinks.

Sat 4th XI vs Redbridge Park - 4th July

Havering-Atte-Bower 4th XI lost consecutive nail biters but the 4th XI did not go down without a fight. Havering won the toss and elected to field. Havering bowled and fielded superbly, restricting Redbridge to a low score of 119 thanks to Mitchell Walkers 4 wickets and some very economical bowling from William Waine and Tom Mitchell (both picking up a wicket each). When it was Haverings turn to bat they failed to recover from a slow but solid start which required the middle and lower order to hit 6 runs per over. Havering got within 3 runs of victory thanks to a quick-fire 52 from Michael Roe, but once he was dismissed Haverings hopes quickly vanished.

Sat 4th XI vs Harlow Town - 27th June

Havering-Atte-Bower 4th XI lost a nail biter as the rain came pouring down in Harlow and yet a game was still made possible. Harlow Town loss the toss and were put in by Mick Houghton as they amassed 157. With impressive figures from William Waine (8 Overs 4-31) and Mitchell Walker kept it tight as his 8 overs went for just 19 runs. Havering were looking strong with a maiden 50 from Ollie Williams but it was all in vain as Havering collapsed to 151 all out, losing the game by 6 runs.

Sat 4th XI vs Rayleigh Fairview VI - 13th June

Havering-Atte-Bower 4th XI suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of Rayleigh Fairview 4ths. Havering won the toss and elected to bowl first and it looked as if they would not have to chase too many thanks to Tom Mitchell (3-6), Reece Beechey (2-12) and Tom Anderson (2-21).

So chasing just 103 for victory, Haverings top order failed to produce, leaving the bottom order with a mountain to climb which eventually proved too high. In the end, Havering only reached 75 as only three players reached double figures. (Nick Hine, Reece Beechey and Ollie Williams) Les Walker was stranded 7 not out as Havering fell 28 runs short of victory.
